Mediaphormedia is the award-winning software and interactive subsidiary of The World Company, a family-owned media company in Lawrence, Kansas with a history of news and media innovations dating back to 1895. The World Company owns daily and weekly newspapers, including the Lawrence Journal-World, local magazines, commercial printing, video production, professional services and consulting operations, television news stations, 6 News Lawrence and ABC KTKA, and a nationally-renowned broadband company, Sunflower Broadband, which provides cable, internet and telephone services.
Since its inception in 1995 Mediaphormedia, then known as World Online, has supported all of the online initiatives for the World Company’s media operations and since 2004 has offered high-end, enterprise class media solutions on the international market. Mediaphormedia licenses and provides top-of-market services around its Ellington suite of applications including consulting, training, and design to clients ranging from small news and media companies to large corporations.
Size and location
The World Company employs over 600 people in Lawrence and northeast Kansas, as well as sizeable staffs in Payson, Arizona and Steamboat Springs, Colorado through its WorldWest subsidiaries. Mediaphormedia, presently has a staff of just under 30, including programmers, web developers, designers, support and training technicians, consultants, sales and executive staff.
